Interaction and Synergy

Analysing peptide combinations and gene combinations, to understand better how biological factors synergise, and to try and make use of that in furthering understanding of biological and disease processes, and how to target them.

We are very interested in the analysis of synergistic interactions that occur everywhere in biology: interactions of genes, interactions of food components, interactions of drugs. Such interactions can explain the complex outcomes of biological processes and we need to find new ways to exploit and understand such interactions. Currently we are looking at how combinations of peptides from intracellular regions of receptors influence platelet function.
